When they said April showers bring May flowers, maybe they were referring to METEOR showers. April is a great month for meteor observing showers. From April 16th to 26th look to the sky and you can observe the Lyrid meteor shower. On April 21st, the Eta Aquarid meteor shower can also be seen.
